It was no better or worse than a typical concert by youths in their mid teens but, as is often the case, at least one noteworthy talent stood out.
Singer Andreas Martin Jacobsen Korren (sic), 14, hailed as a local protege, showed aggressive vocals and stage manner, cutting cleanly through the instrumental ensemble while maintaining a keen awareness of range. His voice has deepened beyond the childhood stage, which local observers said has allowed him to take a notable step up, and there was none of the shyness or forced bravado seen in his female co-singer and numerous other students.
